Chickpea Flat Bread...

 Recently I am in love with Chickpea Flour or aka Gram Flour....

 It is amazing what you can create with it. 

Almost everything.... you can add it in soups, pancakes, souces.... but ... my favourite is ....





The Chickpea Flat Bread...


Easy, tasty and healthy ... 

Full of flavours and almost gluten free ....


You will need ...

Ingredients:

* 1 cup chickpea flour

* 1 cup water

* 1 tablespoon wholemeal flour

* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

* 2 tablespoons olive oil

* finely chopped fresh parsley

* finely chopped spring onion

* ground black pepper to taste

* salt to taste




Instructions 

Step 1

Whisk chickpea flour and water together in a bowl until smooth; let sit at room temperature 6 hours or overnight.


Step 2

Preheat oven to 220 degrees C. Line with parchment paper 20-22 cm (diameter) metal pie pan.


Step 3

Skim foam from the top of chickpea-water mixture. Add wholemeal flour, baking powder, olive oil, parsley, spring onion, salt, pepper and stir until combined. Pour mixture into the prepared pan; 

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven until edges begin to brown, about 15-20 minutes. Remove bread from pan, let it cool and then cut into wedges.




PS. You can replace the spring onions and fresh pasley with dry Italian seasoning, dry herbs, rosemary, oregano...or anything you like!
